What’s the difference between all these?

Very little, in fact. They’re all ways to build websites which publish articles about a topic.

Some of them use static HTML, some use database-driven scripts or blogging software.

But in reality, they are all variations of a single model – the article directory.

Article directories can be amazingly popular. Take EzineArticles.com, for example. 11 MILLION unique visitors a month, according to Compete.com.

That’s a lot of people clicking on links and on advertisements. It’s more traffic than Squidoo.com and HubPages.com put together.

EzineArticles has a simple website. It allows authors to sign up and submit their articles. It has human moderators who read the articles and approve or reject them. Once an article is approved, it gets published on the site.

How can you tap in to this vast river of traffic?

It’s actually easier than ever to set up your own article directory. And it can be based on any topic you choose. You could have a niche article directory about dog training, about photography, about scuba diving, about travel – whatever.

And what’s best is that you don’t need to write a single article yourself.

That’s right. You can set up a niche article directory that runs completely on autopilot. If you want, you can moderate the articles that get posted by your authors – or you can let it run without intervention.

And I’m not talking garbage articles, or articles scraped from other peoples sites. These are real, keyword-targeted articles, by real authors, who want their articles distributed as widely as possible.

As with EzineArticles, all you have to do in exchange for this fresh original content is keep the author’s resource box and links intact.
